Phenibut
Phenibut is also known as 4-Amino-3-Phenylbutyric Acid, Acide 4-Amino-3-Phenylbutyrique, Acide Bêta-phényl-gamma-aminobutyrique, Agente Gabaérgico, B-Phenyl-Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid, Beta-Phenyl-GABA, Bêta-Phényl-GABA, Beta-phenyl-gamma-aminobutyric acid and Fenibut. Phenibut is similar in structure and function to a chemical found in the brain called gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). Phenibut is used widely as a food supplement to prevent anxiety, tension, fatigue and stress and to improve the quality of sleep, memory, learning and thinking skills. Historical Context
Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is one of the most commonly used supplements for the general well-being of the brain and the nervous system as well as to improve the functionality of brain including cognitive and motor functions. GABA is widely used in the homeopathic medicine as a supplement and nerve tonic. Its potency as a nerve tonic has been proven in theory and in practice. It is being used as a supplement and also as a medication in Europe, America and China and the outcomes are pretty promising. The natural sources of GABA include organ meals, especially the dishes made from meat. Phenibut is developed to aid the function of GABA especially for the people who are not allowed to take GABA due to some medical reason. It is equally good for other people too.
Mode of Action
Phenibut is much like GABA and does almost the same functions but there is a fundamental difference between the both. GABA is primarily used as a medicine and the use as a dietary supplement is very less often. Phenibut on the other hand is primarily used as a dietary supplement and is seldom used as a medicine. The chemical acts as a nerve tonic and a cognitive enhancer by aiding the brain conduct with its own parts and the other nerves effectively. It also helps strengthen the nerve tissue and also plays important part in cleansing the plaque from the inner walls of the arteries hence cleansing them and reducing the possibility of heart attack and stroke.
